Kathy Thomson

Counsellor

I hold a Bachelor of Counselling and a Certificate in Financial Literacy Education, a combination that allows me to bridge the gap between emotional well-being and practical stability. I recognise that financial stress is one of the most significant burdens a person or couple can carry, often impacting every area of life—from self-worth to household harmony.

My practice focuses on helping clients navigate the complex relationship between their mindset and their money. By integrating my clinical counselling skills with practical financial literacy, I help individuals and couples unpack the 'money stories' that hold them back and develop the skills needed for long-term financial confidence.

Additionally, for those looking to strengthen their relationships, I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This evidence-based framework complements my work by providing specific tools to help couples communicate better and manage conflict, particularly when navigating the practical and emotional challenges of life together.
